What is KidsGo Disco?

KidsGo Disco has been created by 2 local Teddington mums looking for a place to chill out with their family and friends. The event is for all of us parents that hanker after our pre-children clubbing days!! Now you have the opportunity to shake your bootie on the dance floor in one of South London’s top nightclubs. No babysitting excuses – take your kids along and have the best Saturday afternoon with entertainment for all the family! 

Where is it held?

At one of South London’s coolest nightclubs, Oceana, 154-166 Clarence Street, Kingston Upon Thames KT1 1QP.

What time is it at?

It takes place on a Saturday afternoon, between 2pm and 5pm, so keep checking the website for future dates and events… 

Who is invited?

We created KidsGo Disco for parents with their children, aged from 4 to 10 but ultimately you be the judge! Younger and older siblings, grandparents, nannies and best friends are all invited. So if your toddler likes throwing some shapes on the dance floor, come along and see what happens…. 

What’s the cost of a ticket?

£10 each, per adult or child. Family Discounts available.  Please email us about Group discounts and parties. All tickets are bought in advance via our website. Join our Mailing List to be the first to hear about our special offers. A very limited number of tickets may be available on the door, but only if the event hasn’t sold out in advance.

Who needs a ticket?

Everyone except babes in arms (ie non walkers!).

What do I need to bring to gain entry to venue?

Your Paypal confirmation and a signed copy of our Terms and Conditions of Business.

What do I get for my money?

We provide entertainment for everyone… Real music is mixed by top Djs, blending classic disco tunes from the 70’s and 80’s with a few more up to date beats, free healthy snacks for the kids including fresh hot popcorn, fresh fruit and bottled water. Mum and dad can take a break from the dance floor with a beer from the full cash bar, or sit with a complimentary tea or coffee. Don’t forget to email your request for your top tunes when you book… Simply email Niamh or Nicola at kidsgodisco@gmail.comA professional dance leader will take kids through their paces on the dance floor, and we also have a team of young dance students to encourage girls and boys to get in the groove, or just have fun.

There are prizes and free gifts for everyone, including a mummy and daddy dance off, and best outfit of the event, so get those glad rags out!                                                                              

 A cordoned off safe play area is provided for younger tots, stocked with toys and books to keep them happy, and a buggy park on the ground floor is available to allow easy access to and from the venue.                                                                                                      

For a small extra charge, we have face painters and a temporary tattooist for those that want to get into the groove.    

A photographer will be on hand to take snaps of disco dudes and divas, which you will have an option to buy post event.                           

Interested in holding a birthday party  at KidsGo Disco?

We’d love to host your child’s birthday party at KidsGo Disco! You can choose to have it as low key as you wish, or we can get the DJ to bang out a rendition of “Happy Birthday”  to the proud birthday boy/girl, whilst they blow out the candles on stage…(you can bring along your own cake)  A party bag for the birthday boy/girl will be included. Do I need to bring a child?

YES! Under NO circumstances will an adult be allowed in without a child.

Can I leave my child there alone?

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES! PARENTS/CARERS ARE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES. 

Is there a maximum number of children per adult ticket purchased?

YES! There must be a maximum of 3 children per responsible adult.

The venue is a proper nightclub, right? How has the venue been child proofed?

We have used a combination of safety netting and stair gates, from reputable suppliers to the nursery and softplay trade to ensure the area is secure. The Club is double cleaned to ensure a safe and secure environment, and rechecked a third time by Head of Security before opening. There is also a team of roaming and stationery security staff to ensure that Fire Exits aren’t breached, and the space is kept safe. Ample Bar and Floor Staff are at hand to ensure spills are cleaned up immediately. We never use glassware in the club.. plastic only here. We also have a team of highly visible (you’ll know what we mean when you arrive!) dance students to assist with the fun and answer any questions/assist with lost parents! All staff are CRB checked and we also have trained First Aider(s) present at each event. A copy of our Risk Assessment is available upon request.

 BUT PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER PARENTS/CARERS ARE WHOLLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES.

Will you refund my money if I decide not to come? 

No money will be refunded or bookings exchanged after purchase, unless the event is cancelled. In the event of cancellation the Promoter’s sole obligation and liability shall be to provide a full refund of the face value of this ticket. No other claims will be entertained.

What if I don’t want my photograph taken at the event?

KidsGo Disco may record, film or photograph the events. Your attendance at the event shall constitute your approval for inclusion within the photographing, filming and audio recording and your approval permission for KidsGo Disco to make full use of the photographs, recordings and the footage taken without any recourse to you. The photographs may be used for the KidsGo Disco website or affiliate website, press or promotional materials. If you do not wish your child to be filmed or photographed please make the photographer, cameraperson or audio person aware of this.

Why do you charge 1p for babies?

Unfortunately it is the only way we can track the number of babies attending the events. Paypal doesn’t recognize 0p when making a payment and ignores this item.. As I’m sure you’ll agree for health and safety reasons we need to know exactly how many people will be attending each event.

Will there be different themes at each event?

Yes – there will be a different theme for each event! Whether it’s High School Musical, Hip Hop or 70’s disco you or your kids are into, hopefully we’ll have an event to suit you!! Any suggestions are always welcome – but please keep checking our website for details of all future events!
